Black History Month (UK)

It’s Black History Month! Yep. October signals the time when the UK rolls out the annual red carpet for a month-long fiesta, celebrating the achievements and rich history of Black communities. Since 1987, this has been the month to crank up the volume on stories that too often get turned down low. The country turns into a buzzing hub of educational events, eye-opening exhibitions, foodie fairs and talks that dive deep into myriad traditions, histories and customs. 

Why does Black History Month deserve its moment in the spotlight? Simple. It’s about recognition, pride, and getting a real-deal glimpse into the struggles and strides of Black people.
