Empowering Introverts
Silence is beautiful, not awkward. The human tendency to be afraid of something beautiful is awkward. – Elliot Kay
Introverts have unique strengths and perspectives that can greatly benefit your team and organisation, and we want to help you tap into that potential.
But first, let’s take a moment to talk about why this training is so important. Introverts make up a significant portion of the workforce, yet their contributions are often overlooked or undervalued.
Many introverts feel pressure to adapt to the extroverted norms of their workplace, which can lead to burnout, stress, and decreased productivity. By understanding and empowering introverts, you can help create a more inclusive and productive workplace for everyone.
In this course, we start by exploring what introversion is and debunking some of the common myths. We discuss the real reasons why introverts are often seen with their heads buried in a spreadsheet, and why they don’t respond to “group brainstorming” with the same enthusiasm as a Labrador chasing a ball.
We then dive into practical strategies for creating an inclusive environment, explore communication styles, and learn how to leverage their unique strengths.
Our approach is anything but boring! You can expect a fun inclusive atmosphere, with plenty of humour, plus group discussions and activities, so you can share your own experiences and learn from others too.
By the end of this training course, you’ll have greater knowledge and skills to help make your workplace a welcoming and supportive place for your more introverted employees.
So buckle up and get ready to become an introvert whisperer!
Here’s what we’ll cover:
Define what introversion is and explore how it differs from extroversion
Address common misconceptions about introverts and their impact on workplace dynamics
Discussions about communication styles, meeting culture and creating inclusive environments
Learn practical strategies to support and empower more introverted members of your team
An 8-step action plan to help you shape a more inclusive and productive workplace for everyone
