Navigating Change

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance – Alan Watts

Let’s face it, change can be pretty daunting. Although some of us love to shake things up, for many of us, these inevitable new chapters can be downright frightening.

Moving house? Um, maybe next year. Ending the relationship? Eek! New team? Hard pass.

It’s easy to see why. Routine is comfortable. Resisting change is resisting being challenged. But no matter how hard we push back, life’s going to throw us a few curveballs. Change at work, be it a team overhaul or a shift in company culture, is something none of us can dodge. Wouldn’t it be better to have the tools to step confidently up to the plate and knock them right out of the park?

This training course explores why change happens, and the psychological processes behind our resistance to it – whether it’s perfectionism or fear of the unknown. We’ll dive into the Kübler-Ross change curve to take a closer look at the rational and emotional stages we might move through, learn how to re-frame our thoughts, and dig deep to uncover how we feel. Y’know, like, really feel.

A central part of this training course is exploring the idea that we each have our own storyline, and by approaching life as an author instead of a spectator, we can flick off the auto-pilot switch and own our personal narrative.

By the end, you’ll come away with tools to help you navigate unexpected plot-twists at work and in life, and transform your hero’s journey into the stuff of legend.
