Personal Branding

If you don't brand yourself, other people will - Catherine Kaputa

Your personal brand exists whether you think about it or not. It shows up in what people remember after a meeting, how they describe you to others, and the assumptions they make before you even speak. The real question isn’t do you have a personal brand? It’s whether you’re shaping it on purpose, or leaving it to chance.

This training course helps you get clear on who you are at work and how you want to show up. We start by discussing what personal branding actually means in a workplace context, beyond buzzwords or LinkedIn clichés. You’ll see what’s in it for you, and why it also makes life easier for the people you work with.

You’ll explore what you’re genuinely good at, not just what sits in your job description. Through practical tools and reflection, you’ll spot patterns in feedback, name where you add the most value, and identify areas for growth without turning it into a confidence wobble. Using a simple decision matrix, you’ll decide which skills are worth developing now, which can wait, and which probably don’t need your energy at all.

Next, we dig into values. The quiet drivers behind your decisions, behaviours, and reputation over time. You’ll use a practical tool to clarify what matters most to you, then connect the dots between your strengths and values to define your unique contribution. That’s what makes a personal brand feel real, not rehearsed.

We then turn to perception and visibility. How do others actually experience you? What do they remember when you leave the room? We’ll look at the small, everyday behaviours that shape reputation over time, from reliability and follow-through to how we show up under pressure. You’ll also explore how to be more visible without being louder, including mapping key stakeholders, contributing with intention, and showing up consistently.

By the end of the session, you’ll have more clarity about who you are, what you bring, and how you want to be known. You’ll leave with a personal brand that feels intentional, grounded, and genuinely yours. The goal isn’t to become someone else. It’s to show up more fully as yourself, on purpose.
