World Youth Skills Day

World Youth Skills Day is an annual event on July 15th, established by the UN to drive home the importance of equipping young people with the skills they need for success in the modern world. It serves as a platform to promote vocational education, apprenticeships, and skill-building activities. 

This day is a big deal as it underscores the crucial role of diversity in skill development, and the need for greater investment. We need more inclusive and equitable educational and training systems that cater to people from all walks of life. It’s no secret that some of us have access to more opportunities than others, but by ensuring that all young people, – regardless of background – have access to opportunities to increase their skillset, we help level the playing field. Embracing today champions better support for young people, while fostering more compassion, innovation and prosperity.
