We all know that giving feedback can be scary and uncomfortable at times, but it’s an essential skill for personal and professional growth. We often worry about saying the wrong thing, hurting someone’s feelings, or making things worse, so we hold back. The result? Missed moments for learning, connection, and trust.

This practical training course is designed to make feedback less daunting and more effective. We’ll start by exploring the psychology of feedback and why it’s so important to make it a habit. We’ll talk about common fears and misconceptions, and how to overcome them. You’ll learn how to focus on behaviour and impact not personality, while keeping your message clear, kind, and meaningful.

Timing is everything when it comes to giving feedback, so we’ll explore how to choose the right moment using real-life examples and scenarios from your company to illustrate the concepts and techniques we’re discussing.

You’ll have plenty of opportunities to practice giving and receiving feedback in a safe and supportive environment, so you can build your confidence and develop your skills. Through discussion and practice, you’ll find your own rhythm and language, so feedback feels less like ticking a box and more like a real conversation.

By the end of this training course, you’ll be able to give feedback in a way that is constructive, respectful, and empowering, and you’ll be able to receive feedback with a more open mind and a growth mindset. You’ll have a toolkit of simple methods to help yourself and others grow and achieve their full potential.

Marc took a group of us from different areas of our business and walked us through Fearless Feedback. He has such a great manner in his delivery - not patronising, but opening our eyes to different ways of thinking and ideas to apply. I will definitely try some of these ideas out, especially the feedback models and 5 chairs. I also love the follow-up reading he gives and after the last session I downloaded a book by Maya Angelou! I really enjoyed our recent Fearless Feedback webinar. Our instructor, Dean, was very informative, happily answered our questions and highlighted some of the common challenges we might have faced or may be facing when giving feedback. He has provided us useful strategies how to avoid making mistakes when giving feedback and has given us some good examples too that we can use later when giving feedback. All in all, I feel I am better equipped to give valuable feedback instead of just a short 'great job' and I could see the value in this for managers and staff generally who need to/want to give feedback on a regular basis.

Can this training course be delivered in person?
All our training courses are delivered virtually using MS Teams, WebEx and Zoom. We have offices in London, Brighton and Auckland and deliver classroom workshops in the UK, Europe, NZ and Australia.
How do you make learning fun?
All of our training is designed in-house by our awesome trainers and graphic designers. We use cutting-edge production techniques to create fun and inspiring ways to engage with our learners that helps make learning easy and long lasting. We are often asked "how are you doing this?!"
What is the ideal group size?
All of our training courses are highly interactive. For virtual and hybrid training sessions we suggest a maximum of 24 participants and for classroom training the optimum group size is 16-18.
