International Non-Binary People’s Day
International Non-Binary People’s Day
Every 14th July, International Non-Binary People’s Day recognises and supports non-binary people around the world. The date was specifically chosen to fall precisely between International Women’s Day (March 8th) and International Men’s Day (November 19th), symbolising that gender exists on a spectrum, rather than within a binary framework. Today nods to the experiences, struggles, and contributions of non-binary people, who don’t identify exclusively as male or female.
This is a time for raising awareness about gender diversity and educating each other on issues faced by non-binary individuals. Oh, and let’s not forget that it’s also a celebration of the variety of human identities. Marking this day helps amplify the voices and stories of non-binary folks, reminding us of the ongoing struggles against discrimination and the importance of equal rights. It’s about fostering a more accepting and understanding world – and that’s never a bad thing.
