Non-Binary Awareness Week
Non-Binary Awareness Week
Non-Binary Awareness Week starts on the Monday before International Non-Binary People’s Day on 14 July. Started in 2012 by Katje van Loon, it’s like a rebel with a cause, challenging old-school gender norms and cheering for everyone who identifies beyond the binary. It’s cleverly squeezed between International Men’s Day and International Women’s Day – a perfect spot to bridge the gap and spread some serious understanding.
Taking part in the conversation means opening your eyes to a world painted in more colours than you knew existed. This week, we get to turn up the volume on voices that are too often hushed, pushing for everyone’s right to be their awesome, unfiltered selves. We’re not just talking awareness here – we’re talking respect and a rock-solid promise to champion a world where everyone is celebrated for being exactly who they are.
