Black Inclusion Week (UK)
Black Inclusion Week (UK)
Black Inclusion Week, marked this year from May 13th to 19th, is a key time in the UK to highlight and celebrate the Black community’s contributions and achievements. Not fixed annually, its dates vary, but its purpose remains constant: to advocate for Black inclusion and an anti-racist culture. It’s a week where the focus is on ensuring Black individuals feel valued, heard, and included, emphasising empowerment and engagement from all.
The 2024 theme is out! This year, it’s: “Empowered for Change: Building a Better Future Together,” and it draws our attention to the importance of unity and shared responsibility in crafting a better world. This year’s Black Inclusion Week is set to be remarkable, featuring big events and inspiring speakers. It’s a call to recognise our collective potential for positive change, demonstrating that when we come together, we can create a more inclusive future.
