Celebrate Diversity Month
Celebrate Diversity Month
It stands to reason that diversity should be celebrated, right? ‘Think outside the box’, ‘Variety is the spice of life’ – clearly variation is the spark that lights the fire of evolution. Yet there’ll always be forces within society who fear change, wish to suppress our differences and maintain the status quo. That is why, every April, we celebrate diversity month. Woohoo!
Every year, we have this golden opportunity to recognise and celebrate the panoply of differences across the spectrum of human society. At the same time, it’s a chance to remember the common threads that are weaved through the tapestry of our history and culture. By celebrating diversity, we remember what it is that unites us in our shared human history, while paving the way for a glorious, multicoloured, multicultural future, bursting with new ideas and new ways of thinking. Very cool.
