Dyspraxia Week
Dyspraxia Week
Dyspraxia Week is an annual event dedicated to raising awareness and understanding of dyspraxia, a neurological disorder that affects motor skill development. It usually takes place in the month of October, although the specific dates can vary from year to year. During this week, various activities and campaigns are organised globally to educate the public about dyspraxia, its symptoms, and the challenges faced by those who live with it. The event aims to highlight the importance of early diagnosis and the available support systems.

While many people recognise the challenges faced by dyslexic individuals, dyspraxia is less commonly understood which can lead to dyspraxic individual’s going undiagnosed. Like all neurodevelopment conditions, dyspraxia can be improved when caught early on, so Dyspraxia week is all about informing the public of the signs so that young people can be assessed and diagnosed as early as possible.
