International Day of Charity
International Day of Charity
Doing good feels good, right? That’s exactly what International Day of Charity (IDC) is all about! Celebrated every year on September 5th, this day highlights the importance of charitable efforts around the world. The date was chosen to mark the anniversary of Mother Teresa’s passing, recognising her contributions to global charity work. It’s a time to reflect on how we can all make a positive impact, big or small!
There’s nothing like doing something for someone else – and the ripple effects can spread far and wide! Charity plays a huge role in addressing humanitarian issues like poverty, hunger, education, and healthcare. And today is all about encouraging us all to engage in more charitable stuff – like fundraising or volunteer work. No effort is too small, so if you don’t have much time, you can do your bit with an act of kindness. Pay a coffee or a hot meal forward at your local coffee shop or simply help a stranger. It all adds up.
