Lesbian Visibility Week

Lesbian Visibility Week, which first kicked off in 2019, is back for its fifth year, and it’s just as important as ever. Usually starting on the last Monday of April, this week is a celebration of progress, and a call for more awareness to ensure this community feels seen and heard. When lesbian erasure still threatens people’s ability to live fully and authentically, this is our time to unite and uplift. 

With so much negativity, from transphobia to ignorance, rearing up in the media and politics, it’s more important than ever to forge allyship and community. This year, Lesbian Visibility Week 2024 is all about the power of sisterhood. It’s about recognising that this community is made up of so many amazing individuals, each bringing something special. So, expect to see stories from incredible LGBTQIA+ women and non-binary people from all walks of life, all around the globe.
