Lesbian Visibility Week
Lesbian Visibility Week
Lesbian Visibility Week is a time to celebrate progress and raise awareness to ensure the lesbian community feels seen, heard, and valued. Typically starting on the last Monday of April, this week highlights the importance of uniting against lesbian erasure and uplifting those who deserve to live fully and authentically. It’s a reminder of how far we’ve come—and how far there is still to go.
With so much negativity in the media and politics, from transphobia to ignorance, it’s more important than ever to forge allyship and build community. Celebrating the power of sisterhood reminds us that the LGBTQIA+ community is made up of so many incredible individuals, each bringing something special. By uplifting stories from LGBTQIA+ women and non-binary people from all walks of life, we can continue to foster understanding, respect, and connection across the globe.
