LGBTQ+ History Month (UK)
LGBTQ+ History Month (UK)
Flags at the ready, folks, βcause February is LGBTQ+ History Month in the UK. Observed annually, this marks the anniversary of the 2003 repeal of Section 28, a law that prohibited promoting homosexuality in schools. During the month, thereβs heaps of educational sessions, exhibits, and community events highlighting LGBTQ+ culture and challenges. Oh, plus plenty of celebrating LGBTQ+ history and achievements, too.
LGBTQ+ History Month is a month-long annual celebration of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, and non-binary history, including the history of LGBTQ+ rights and related civil rights movements.
