World Day of Social Justice
World Day of Social Justice
The World Day of Social Justice rolls around on 20th February to give us a nudge – a wake-up call that even with all our advancements, there’s still a way to go. Many folks miss out on a fair shot at life, and that’s what today is about. Fairer deals at work, better standard of living, and the social safety nets we all need.
This is a push for fairness – a world where everyone (literally everyone) gets equal access to education, jobs, healthcare, you name it. 2024’s theme hasn’t been released yet, but if it’s anything like 2023’s “overcoming barriers and unleashing opportunities for social justice”, it’s going to be about uniting folks to talk about the big stuff – like tackling the divides created by conflicts and standing up for workers’ rights. It’s about getting the conversation going on how we make things better for everyone.
