Zero Discrimination Day
Zero Discrimination Day
Zero Discrimination Day is celebrated every year to promote diversity and inclusion. This global initiative, led by the UN, marks the launch of the first UNAIDS program, which aimed to fight discrimination against those living with HIV/AIDS. Today, it shines a light on all forms of discrimination, whether based on race, age, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or anything else. It’s a reminder that we all deserve respect, equality, and the freedom to be ourselves.
Discrimination happens everywhere – in work, schools, law. You name it. But everyone should have the right to live a full, dignified life. That’s why today is massive. Because it highlights the need for more diversity and inclusivity in our lives. Discrimination doesn’t just harm those experiencing it. It also hinders social progress and economic development. Joining the conversation helps create a world where everyone can live free from prejudice, while pushing governments, institutions, and each other to cultivate a more just society.
