Agender Pride Day
Agender Pride Day
Happy Agender Pride! Celebrated annually on May 19th, this is a noteworthy day, dedicated to celebrating and recognising folks who are agender. For those not in the know, being agender means not identifying as any particular gender. They distinguish themselves from the traditional binary of male and female – or even from other non-binary or genderqueer identities.
Keep an eye out, today, for events and educational activities that challenge traditional gender norms. This is a chance to acknowledge the spectrum of gender identities and advocate for the rights and acceptance of people who diverge from conventional gender expectations. Today is part of a broader movement for LGBTQ+ rights. And taking part (however small) is a powerful gesture towards creating a more inclusive world that upholds the freedom, expression and dignity of every person, no matter what their gender identity is.
