Pansexual & Panromantic Awareness Day
Pansexual & Panromantic Awareness Day
24th May is Pansexual & Panromantic Awareness Day, an annual celebration of pansexuality and panromanticism. Pan individuals are attracted to others based on attributes beyond gender identity, and pan romantics rarely if ever find themselves sexually attracted to anyone. The day, marked by all kinds of events and educational programs, aims to increase visibility and support for the pansexual and panromantic community.
We humans are complex, diverse creatures with a wide spectrum of sexual and romantic experiences. That’s why today is so important. We’re never too old to learn and expand our horizons. And today helps us do that by challenging ‘norms’ and prejudices, and fostering more understanding of the complexities of attraction and relationships. It’s also really empowering for those within the pansexual and panromantic community, as it offers a stage to share their experiences and feel more connected and understood.
