International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia & Biphobia
International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia & Biphobia
It’s May 17th, which means it’s the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia. This vibrant crusade is all in the name of love and acceptance (two our fave things!) Born from the moment in 1990 when homosexuality was no longer labelled a mental disorder, it’s an uproar against injustice, championing the rights of our LGBTQ+ friends. Across seventy countries, where love can be a legal battle, today rings out with defiance and hope.
Marking this day can have an impact. Why? Because LGBTQIA+ rights hang in the balance. Voicing support is like a riposte in solidarity and allyship. By championing better sexuality education and challenging norms, we can empower LGBTQIA+ youth, pushing our world towards equality. Everyone has the right to be their authentic self. Ready to join this shared quest for a world that embraces everyone?
