Mental Health Awareness Week (NZ)
Mental Health Awareness Week (NZ)
The 23rd – 29th September is Mental Health Awareness Week in New Zealand, focusing on promoting mental health and well-being. It tends to take place annually, usually in the month of September or October and is organised by the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand. Its aim? To boost awareness about mental health issues, give information and resources, and break the stigma associated with mental health disorders.β¨
This week drums up heaps of activities, workshops, podcasts, and public events, all designed to educate and engage the community. It underscores the importance of understanding and accepting mental health challenges as a part of the human experience. It serves as a reminder that mental well-being is as important as physical health. By being open, we can better support those who are struggling, share personal experiences, and break down the barriers that stop folks from finding help.β¨
