Mental Health Awareness Week (UK)
Mental Health Awareness Week (UK)
Mental Health Awareness Week – from 13th- 19th May – is an annual event in the UK that raises awareness about mental health issues. Typically in May, it’s when organisations, health professionals, and communities unite to promote mental well-being. Expect a whole bunch of events, activities, and campaigns dedicated to fostering understanding, reducing stigma, and nudging people to open up about mental health.β¨
This is a week when anyone struggling with mental health issues can find solidarity and support. Itβs also a time for families, friends and colleagues to learn more about mental health and how to help those in need. Mental health issues donβt discriminate; they can affect anyone regardless of age, gender, race, or socioeconomic status. By joining the conversation, we send a strong message that mental health is just as important as physical health and that everyone deserves access to support and care.β¨
