NAIDOC Week (AU)
NAIDOC Week (AU)
NAIDOC Week is here! Every July, this week invites Australia – and beyond – to celebrate the culture, history, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It’s not just for Indigenous communities; it’s for everyone to join in, learn something new, and appreciate the amazing contributions these cultures have made (and continue to make). Expect lots of cool events, art, and stories that make you feel more connected and excited about the richness of Australia’s heritage.

This year’s theme, “Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud & Proud,” is all about celebrating the unstoppable spirit of First Nations culture. Fire is the big symbol here, representing a deep connection to the land, to one another, and to the incredible mix of traditions that make Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures so unique. It’s a shout-out to the living heritage that’s been passed down through generations, keeping the flame of identity ablaze.
