Race Unity Day
Race Unity Day
Mark your calendars folks, βcause itβs time for a celebration of togetherness and diversity, AKA: Race Unity Day! This date is marked every second Sunday in June and has been going since 1957. Created from the National Spiritual Assembly of the Baha’is of the US, itβs a day to champion our unique differences and encourage more respect and understanding across all races.β¨
There are loads of ways to get stuck in, from cultural fairs to community gatherings, fun runs, potlucks of diverse dishes β you name it. Even if itβs just having a friendly chat with a colleague, joining the conversation helps to shape a more harmonious and united world. Discrimination is insidious. It silently weaves its way through the fabric of society – from our workplaces to our schools. Today invites open and sincere discussions, fostering a deeper sense of empathy among each other.β¨
